Resource Description
-
The peripheral blood mononuclear cells comprise the following cells: B cells, T cells, NK cells, Monocytes and Dendritic cells. These cells were isolated by a density centrifugation, the differential migration during the centrifugation resulted in the formation of different layers. The layer of PBMC was found at the interface between the plasma and the density gradient medium. Therefore, this layer was isolated, washed and cryopreserved at -80⁰C.
These cells were isolated from Caribbean-Hispanic patients with Cardiovascular conditions, both females and males, of 21 years old and older.
