AABRE Program: Functional Genomics Research Center

Summary:

The FGRc of the UPR is the only facility of its kind in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. The unique infrastructure of the FGRc positions it to be the provider of expertise and services related to functional genomics research to academia, government and industry in Puerto Rico and abroad, all within one unique center.

  • Experimental design and consulting service ( Training service )

    Training offered to undergraduate and graduate students, technicians, post-doctoral and principal investigators.

  • Molecular biology services ( Material processing service )

    RNA, DNA and protein extraction; laser capture microdissection, gene array, quantitative in situ hybridization, immunohistolocalization, real time PCR and ELISA assays.
