Instruments

  • Cary 100 UV-Vis ( Instrument )

UV-visible spectrophotometer, it is controlled by the Cary WinUV software, a Windows-based software featuring an modular design.

  • Crystal 16 ( Instrument )

This instrument has 16 reactors at a volume of 1mL, that can easily determine solubility curves and screen for crystallization conditions. Applications:
    • Solubility determination
    • Phase diagrams
    • Co-Crystal screening
    • Chiral separation
    • Salt screening
    • Polymorph screening
    • Polymer dissolution studies (LCST and UCST)
    • Amorphous solid dispersions
    • Hydrate formation studies

  • Crystalline ( Instrument )

Optimizes your crystallization process at an early stage with only small amount of material with through the vial analytical capabilities like turbidity, particle visualization, or Raman.

  • DSCQ2000 ( Instrument )

Differential Scanning Calorimeters (DSC) measures temperatures and heat flows associated with thermal transitions in a material. Common usage includes investigation, selection, comparison and end-use performance evaluation of materials in research, quality control and production applications. Properties, measured by DSC include glass transitions, "cold" crystallization, phase changes, melting, crystallization, product stability, cure / cure kinetics, and oxidative stability.

  • Hot-stage (Linkam Scientific Instruments, LTS 420) ( Instrument )

  • Polarized optical microscope (Nikon Eclipse LV100N POL) with camera (Nikon DS-Fi2) ( Instrument )

    Applications:
    • Antennae
    • Telecom & Electronics
    • Plastic Manufacturing
    • Composites
    • Fabrics/Textiles
    • Asbestos
    • Telescope optics
    • Mobile phones, shavers & watches

  • Raman Microscope DXR2 (ThermoFisher Scientific) ( Instrument )

Applications: Forensics; Pharmaceutical; Art Restoration/Conservation; Archaeology: Solar; Polymers; Failure Analysis; Gemology; Nanotechnology; Academic research

  • Raman RXN2 Analyzer Hybrid ( Instrument )

Four-channel Raman system designed for use in analytical laboratories for routine sample analysis or support of R&D projects, as well as early process development and scale-up settings for in situ analysis.

  • Rigaku SmartLab X-ray ( Instrument )

    1. X-ray diffraction (XRD)
    2. Advanced state-of-the-art high-resolution XRD system powered by Guidance expert system software

  • Rigaku XtalLab Supernova ( Instrument )

    1. X-ray diffraction (XRD)
    2. A single crystal X-ray diffractometer for small molecule
    3. 3D structure analysis

  • Spin Coater (Specialty Coating Systems) SCS 6800 Spin Coater ( Instrument )

The SCS 6800 features proprietary circuitry that allow for the uniform application of photoresists, polyimides, metal-organics, dopants, silica films and most organic and aqueous solutions to planar substrates.

  • Stereomicroscope (Nikon SMZ-800 Zoom) ( Instrument )

The SMZ800N comes with a 1 – 8x zooming range, with higher magnification than conventional models and enables high-resolution observation. Clear and bright images with reduced chromatic aberrations can be acquired throughout the extended zoom range through “Plan Apo WF” and “ED plan WF” objectives.

  • TGA Q500 ( Instrument )

The TA Instruments Q500 TGA offers a high temperature limit for your thermal analysis needs. The instrument measures the mass loss of a sample very accurately versus temperature. The temperature can go from room temperature up to 1000ºC and the balance can handle samples up to 1 g in mass although a standard operating mass is 5 - 10 mg to prevent samples from falling off the pan. The automated sampler can accommodate 16 samples that will run in succession.
